The Nazareth Trust
Meet the patrons of the Nazareth Trust. We cannot wait to work alongside them on upcoming projects.
Elaine Storkey is an English philosopher, sociologist, and theologian. She has held academic posts at Oxford University, University of Stirling, Open University and King’s College. But Elaine’s lecturing experience goes beyond the UK: Haiti, India and Ethiopia are some of the countries she has visited. Elaine is also a well-known regular columnist for the Church Times, the Independent, and a frequent broadcaster for the BBC. As a prominent feminist evangelical, her writings have brought a biblical perspective to Feminism, like her most recent book: ‘Women in a Patriarchal World: Twenty-five Empowering Stories from the Bible.’
Recently retired, John Davies served as Bishop of Swansea & Brecon from 2008 and as Archbishop of Wales from 2017 until May this year. John showed great interest in social justice, speaking out on issues including homelessness, housing, assisted dying, organ donation and poverty. He has also served as a trustee of Christian Aid, chairing its Wales National Committee for almost nine years. At the same time, John focused on the needs for the Church in Wales to refresh its vision, image and purpose, to embrace change and, through doing so, to aim for growth.
