SERVE Nazareth goodbyes!

This month has seen goodbyes to two of our spring group - Kara and Jenni. Both Kara and Jenni are from Canada and have spent three months with the SERVE Nazareth programme. Three months can seem a short or a long time, depending on your perspective, but whichever it is, leaving is always a bittersweet moment!

SERVE Nazareth Special Assignment!

As we head into the latter half of our spring cohort’s time here, we are delighted to welcome Meghan, who is with us from Canada on special assignment. A professional photographer by trade, Meghan loves to travel the world and volunteer. As she spends 10 days with the SERVE Nazareth team, she is helping to photograph, video and documenting the life of the interns in the programme.

NAZARETH TRUST WELCOMES NEW TRUSTEE

Joanna Storrar has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Nazareth Trust as the charity celebrates its 150th anniversary.

With more than twenty years fundraising experience, mainly in Scotland, Joanna was Director of Development for the University of Edinburgh, Vice President for North American Development for the University of Glasgow, Assistant Director of Development for the University of Aberdeen and Development Manager for the Scottish Museums Council.

Commemoration of Dr. Hans Bernath

Late in 2011, we received word from the Mayor of Nazareth, Eng. Ramez Geraisy, that the Municipality of Nazareth had agreed to our request to formally and permanently name the roundabout leading to our Hospital main entrance after the esteemed and much loved Dr. Hans Bernath.
