SERVE Bursary

SERVE Nazareth is our volunteer ministry based in Nazareth, Israel.

We connect Christian volunteers with local ministries in Jesus’ home town.

Our goal is not only to utilise volunteers to serve here in Nazareth, but to see them grow in Christ.

And we have seen this goal come true so many times.

Chapel refurbishment

The chapel since 1964
The chapel was opened in 1964 as part of a new building that also included a new nurses’ home, and this was whilst Dr John Tester was the Head of the Hospital.

Funds for the new building came from the Protestant Christians of West Germany and the ground-breaking ceremony which preceded the laying of the foundations was carried out by the President of the West German Parliament, Dr Eugen Gerstenmaier.

Today this wing of the Hospital is known as the “Dr. John Tester’s Building”.

SCHOOL OF NURSING - BURSARY PROGRAMME

Each year, there are talented and motivated students who are unable to pay the fees for their tuition.

They are either unable to start their studies, or have to leave before they can graduate.

Help us guarantee places for the brightest and the best so they can fulfil their vocation to a career in caring for others.

AudiBible

The AudiBible Project.

To many people, including the residents of Nazareth, the Bible is a closed book.

And it is not only those who cannot read to whom the Bible is closed it is also the case for many who visit our Hospital or study in our School of Nursing

Today, Nazareth is predominantly Muslim and it is well recorded that when a Muslim becomes a Christian they often face danger ranging from being ostracised from family members and friends, to kidnappings and even death threats.
